Shipping and state restrictions
Cigars are legal to mail, but each state has its own rules. This is how we handle them.
Carrier
Orders ship by USPS Priority Mail. Premium cigars can be mailed under federal law. We do not use FedEx, which does not accept tobacco.
What it costs
Shipping goes by weight and starts at $12. California orders cost $10 more, which covers the adult signature the state requires. Checkout shows the exact amount before you pay.
States we cannot ship cigars to
Utah and Hawaii prohibit cigar deliveries to consumers, so we cannot serve those states. South Dakota, Delaware, Colorado, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Maryland, Maine, Oregon and Indiana allow them only from a seller licensed or registered with the state, and we are not registered there yet. Massachusettsrequires a copy of each buyer's photo ID for cigars sent by mail, which our checkout does not collect yet. Checkout offers no shipping to any of these states for now.
Adult signature
Every order is age-checked before it ships. Deliveries to California, where state law requires it, need a signature from an adult 21 or older, go to the billing address on your card or another address once that one is verified, and cannot go to a PO box. California law also has us confirm each order by phone after 5 p.m. before it ships, so expect a short call or voicemail from us.
